Research Interests

My interest in neurodegenerative diseases is deeply personal—I grew up seeing the effects of Alzheimer’s firsthand while caring for my grandmother. This experience shaped my desire to support people with dementia, not just through direct care but also by helping others enter the field. With a background in occupational therapy, where I primarily worked with dementia patients, and a Master’s in Education, my goal has always been to connect research, care, and education. Now, in my role at the lab, I focus on the organizational and technological aspects of dementia research, including virtual reality applications for older adults. Ultimately, I want to contribute to a better understanding of these diseases and support scientific progress that can lead to improved treatments and care strategies.
