Veranstaltungskalender

IN ENGLISH ONLY
We are pleased to announce the 8th Joint DZG Symposium Dresden which will take place on May 11th, 2026 from 1:00-5:15pm in the conference floor of the BioInnovationsZentrum, Tatzberg 47/49, 01307 Dresden. The program is attached and the registration is open.
We would especially like to invite young investigators to sign up to give a speed talk and present a poster. This provides an opportunity to establish interactions with other groups in the DZG. Such interactions can be leveraged into concrete opportunities for collaborations through overarching grants, the call for which will be made during the symposium.
The symposium brings us together with three other German Centers for Health Research (DZG): the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK); the Paul Langerhans Institute Dresden of the German Center for Diabetes Research (PLID-DZD); the German Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DZKJ).
The symposium offers a dynamic platform for scientists across career stages to connect, exchange ideas, and explore new research strategies and technologies across centers. It is an opportunity to discover complementary expertise and resources in Dresden, identify synergies, and initiate interdisciplinary DZG collaborations. Program highlights include: an opening speech by Prof. Uwe Platzbecker the Medical Director of the University Hospital Dresden; for the first time an update on research from DZKJ by Prof. Reinhard Berner; Prof. Anette-Gabriele Ziegler of Helmholtz Munich as this year’s keynote speaker; services and facilities talks on Bioimaging by Dr. Hella Hartman and Genomics by Dr. Maximillian Krause.
We hope to meet all of you at the symposium!
