Clinical research at the Rostock/Greifswald site
Clinical research at the DZNE Rostock/Greifswald focuses on
- the transfer of new diagnostic and intervention concepts from methodological development through experimental settings to routine care (the quality of life of people with dementia and their relatives can be improved by improving the diagnosis of dementia by means of imaging, biomarker research and brain tissue examinations, as well as by developing and improving new prevention and therapy concepts and systems for improving their ability to cope with everyday life),
- Characterisation and treatment of non-motor disorders in movement disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, and other predominantly motor neurodegenerative diseases, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS),
- tudies on cognitive disorders by combining learning and memory tests with functional and innovative morphological imaging techniques.
