Research Integrity at DZNE
The DZNE is committed to research excellence and ensuring that its research meets the highest standards of scientific quality and integrity. This commitment is essential to our Center’s mission: to understand neurodegenerative diseases and deliver novel treatment strategies for their prevention, treatment and care.
The Office of Scientific Integrity helps to ensure that these standards are met. The Office consists of four Ombudspersons and coordinating staff. Its functions include:
- serving as a confidential contact point for questions, suggestions and concerns related to good scientific practice
- promoting scientific integrity at DZNE, supporting adherence to the guidelines on good scientific practice as formulated by the DZNE, the DFG and the Helmholtz Association
- investigating allegations of possible scientific misconduct or breaches of scientific integrity, when raised by DZNE employees or the scientific community at large
