Research Interests

An avid gamer since childhood and having always harbored an interest in developing games, I got my first experience with Unity as part of my Bachelor’s thesis project where I I made a Jet fighting game complete with enemy AI. After gaining some professional experience, I acted on this passion further by pursuing a Master’s degree in the program Game Design and Technology offered by the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Gaining hands-on experience with Virtual Reality in one of my courses led me to realize the untapped potential of this technology.

Inspired, I decided to pursue my Master Thesis in VR, where I explored the effects of cybersickness in VR with diegetic and non-diegetic displays. Working with VR in a research capacity has made me realize that it holds a lot of potential outside of game development as well. To explore these potentials, currently I am working as a Unity Developer at DZNE, Wolbers lab where I help in creating paradigms whose aim is to improve cognitive and emotional well in an aging population.
