This year, Stefanie Schreiber was awarded the Christa-Lorenz-ALS-Forschungspreis for her work on nerve sonography in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). She received this award for her numerous studies in which she was able to demonstrate new concepts for the involvement of the peripheral nervous system including innovative potential therapeutic approaches using high-resolution ultrasound in ALS.
