Clinical Trials Unit

The clinical studies are conducted at the Dresden site in cooperation with the Clinic an Polyclcinics for Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, and Ophthalmology of the University Hospital Dresden. The clinics for psychiatry and neurology have a joint consultation hour for neurodegenerative dementia.

The main task of the DZNE Study Unit is the implementation and execution of clinical research - in particular the DZNE Register Studies DESCRIBE as well as the support of mono- and multicenter clinical studies of the DZNE. We also want to intensify the translation from basic research to clinical research with subject studies.

In addition to the premises and resources in the clinics for psychiatry and neurology, the new building of the DZNE offers, since the beginning of 2019, a joint outpatient clinic of the DZNE with the Faculty of Medicine of the TU Dresden for clinical studies and research on probands.
