"Long Nights of Science" at DZNE in Bonn, Magdeburg and Rostock/Greifswald

At the three DZNE locations Bonn, Rostock/Greifswald and Magdeburg scientists will participate in the so-called “science nights”. They will present their work to the interested public and answer questions about their projects.

Kick-off is in Rostock/Greifswald where visitors can see the labs and take a look at the collection of brains. Five presentations will explain the activities of the centre. A special snack will be frozen chocolate kisses produced with nitrogen.

In Magdeburg the long night of sciences will be the starting point of the summer of science focusing on energy this year. This includes the chance to meet DZNE scientists. Beginning at 6 p.m. there will be a tour through the rooms every full hour. Following the slogan “We activate against dementia” scientists will provide a fascinating insight into their research.

During the local science night in Bonn people will have the chance to see the world with the researcher’s eye in the so-called science tent, e.g. study nematodes under the microscope. These worms are used to understand the ageing process.
