Politician Dr. Martin Rosemann visits the DZNE
On Friday, 16th of February 2018, Dr. Martin Rosemann, SPD member of the Bundestag and representative of the constituency Tübingen-Hechingen, visited the DZNE Tübingen to learn about the research activities of the center.
After an introduction by the site speaker Prof. Heutink and the site coordinator Dr. Anna-Lena Hillje Dr. Rosemann learned about Amyloid Plaques in the mouse brain and how to isolate them with the new Laser Capture Microdissection Technology used by Dr. Neher. Dr. Della David introduced fluorescently labelled C. Elegans and Dr. Joachim Täger and Dr. Ashutosh Dhingra presented the automated cell culture system.
Finally, Dr. Rosemann got the chance to visit Dr. Kathrin Brockmann in the clinical section and joined an examination of a Parkinsons Disease patient in real life. Very impressed by the research activities of the center he said goodbye with the words: “You are doing incredibly important work. “
