General information and objectives

Studies show that social isolation is a risk factor for poor health. Therefore, it is important to achieve a good level of social integration, especially for vulnerable population groups such as those with dementia. Given the symptoms of dementia, this can be quite challenging. In this workshop series, insights into current scientific state of art will be given and an exchange on practical perspectives motivated. Individual experiences, ideas, and perspectives can be discussed. At the end of the workshops, there will be a survey to evaluate these perspectives.

Participating

The workshop series will start in Greifswald in summer 2026. At a total of 6 appointments (about once a month), we will jointly explore the question of how social integration of people with dementia can succeed. The workshop is aimed at all those who are active in caring for those with dementia and coordinating the care as well as for people with dementia themselves. Participation is voluntary.
