Summertime Science

Bonn, July 1st, 2019. More than 3,000 visitors dropped by the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) on the Bonn Venusberg this Sunday. The DZNE had invited to an Open Day.

“This Open Day on the Venusberg was a premiere for us. All the more reason for us to be pleased that so many came to inform themselves about our diverse research activities. The response of the visitors was extremely positive”, says Dr. Sabine Helling-Moegen, Administrative Director of the DZNE. “My sincere thanks to all those who contributed to this.”

The occasion for this event was the DZNE’s tenth anniversary. The research center was founded in 2009 and today comprises ten locations nationwide. They all were present at the Open Day with a colourful programme for young and old, including hands-on experiments, lectures, building tours, on-stage shows and information on career opportunities at the DZNE.
