And the winner is... more attention for dementia!
DZNE wins German prize for online communication
Loud cheers in the communications department: With great pride, DZNE received the German Prize for Online Communication (DPOK) in the category ‘Health & Social Affairs’ on Friday evening, 23 May 2025 – alongside industry giants and creative agencies from the entirety of the German-speaking world!
The award went to the awareness video clip ‘Perspektivwechsel’ (Change of Perspective), which was produced in-house by the DZNE communications team and has been viewed more than 2.5 million times on Instagram alone. It impressively shows how dementia can feel for those affected and their relatives – and why dementia is an issue that concerns society as a whole. It shakes people up, touches them and draws attention to a topic that is often overlooked – and this clearly convinced the jury.
The DPOK is one of the most prestigious awards for digital communication in the German-speaking world. Every year, more than 45 experts from agencies, companies, science and the media evaluate hundreds of submissions in over 50 categories. The award ceremony took place at the TIPI am Kanzleramt in Berlin – in an atmospheric setting and with much applause for strong digital ideas.
The DZNE team is delighted about the recognition for this project, which was implemented with a great deal of passion and commitment: ‘We are deeply gratified that we are reaching so many people with this project – especially now that we have received this award. And of course, it is a great incentive for our future work!’
With the award-winning video, the DZNE is making an important contribution to public information – and sending a strong signal that dementia should be recognised as a challenge for society as a whole.
