Ahmad Aziz Appointed to Joint Professorship at DZNE and University of Bonn

Bonn (Germany), November 5, 2025. Neurologist, epidemiologist and neuroscientist Dr. Dr. Ahmad Aziz has been appointed to a joint professorship shared by DZNE and the University of Bonn.

Aziz leads a research group at DZNE, where he focuses on identifying causes, risk factors, and biological markers of neurodegenerative diseases. His research draws on extensive population-based data, such as that collected within DZNE’s “Rhineland Study”.

The appointment was made under the “Jülich Model”, which enables joint academic positions across institutions.
