Portrait on WDR Lokalzeit: DZNE researcher Prof. Monique M.B. Breteler

Prof. Monique M.B. Breteler is Director of Population Health Research and head of the Rhineland Study. The renowned Dutch neuro-epidemiologist is, among other things, a member of the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and, according to a ranking by Research.com, a leading academic platform for researchers, one of the most important female scientists in the world.

The German public-broadcasting institution Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) has just dedicated a film portrait to her, in which various professional and personal facets of her life are presented by journalist Franca-Ricarda Schön. Among other things, the portrait "Prädikat 'herausragend': Die Neurowissenschaftlerin Monique Breteler" shows the role that science and art play for Prof. Breteler. The feature was broadcast on April 27, in the TV program "Lokalzeit aus Bonn", on April 28, in the program "Lokalzeit aus Aachen" and on May, 2nd, in the program "Lokalzeit aus Köln" on WDR television.
