Research.com, a leading academic platform for researchers, have released the 2022 edition of their ranking of top 1000 female scientists in the world. DZNE considers itself very privileged to have one of them among its ranks: Monique M.B. Breteler, Director of Population Health Sciences is ranked at position 43 worldwide, and is even listed on position 2 with regards to the national ranking for Germany!
Objective criteria
The list, first published on October 25, 2022, is the first of its kind published by research com. It includes leading female scientists from all major areas of science and was based on examination of 166,880 scientists on Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Graph. The data collection from Microsoft Academic Graph took place on December 6th, 2021. Position in the ranking is based on a scientist's general H-index.
