DZNE Lecture Award awarded to Prof. Stuart A. Lipton

On March 27, Prof. Stuart A. Lipton, MD, PhD was honoured at the DZNE in Bonn with the "DZNE Lecture Award". The DZNE thus honours scientists who have made outstanding contributions in the field of neurodegenerative diseases.

At the award ceremony, Prof. Lipton gave a lecture on the topic "‘SNO-Storms’ in Female Human Brains Result in Alzheimer’s Disease Predominance in Postmenopausal Women"

The awardee holds the following titles:

  • Professor and Founding Director, Neurodegeneration New Medicines Center
  • Step Family Foundation Endowed Chair, The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California
  • Professor of Neurosciences/Neurology, University of California San Diego School of Medicine, and Yale School of Medicine
     

The award is presented annually. The award ceremony is held at a different DZNE site each year.
