DZNE scientist Patrick Weydt is a guest in the current "ALS Podcast" of the Charité

DZNE researcher PD Dr. Patrick Weydt is a guest on the current "ALS Podcast" of Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He talks with host Prof. Dr. Thomas Meyer, head of the ALS outpatient clinic at Charité, about parallels between amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Huntington's disease (in German).

In addition to the medical differences, there are also similarities between the two diseases, which may be equally significant for the development of innovative therapies in ALS and Huntington's disease.

As head of the outpatient unit for motoneuron disease at the University Hospital Bonn (UKB), Patrick Weydt is very familiar with both disease areas. He is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Huntington's Disease Association (Deutsche Huntington-Hilfe e.V.).
