CV: Miriam Stork (née: Jakubik) studied Biology at the University of Cologne and completed her diploma in 2007. She received her PhD degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in 2011 at the Institute of Human Genetics, University Hospital of Cologne, in the lab of Prof. Dr. Brunhilde Wirth (Director). Here, she focused on the generation and characterization of a conditional mouse model in the field of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Since 2012, she joined the group of Dr. Daniele Bano and Prof. Pierluigi Nicotera. Dr. Miriam Jakubik is the responsible person for the entire mouse lines of both groups and coordinates all mouse related work.
