Echo 550 (Labcyte)
Echo 550 is using acoustic energy to transfer liquid from a source plate to the destination plate. The tipless transfer technology allows accurate, precise movement of quantities in nanoliter-scale (³ 2,5nl), enabling assay miniaturization without cross-contamination or liquid sticking to pipette tips. The instrument is especially suitable for compound/siRNA reformatting, cherry-picking or serial dilution. Dispensing to any plate format, including 1536-well plate is possible within very short time. Echo 550 is also giving information about sample integrity, transfer quality and DMSO hydration level and is fully integrated into our screening platform.
