Technology Transfer & Industry Collaboration

According to its statutes and mission, DZNE is fostering translation of research results into products for the benefit of patients and society. The Scientific Strategy Office / Technology Transfer provides support for all activities along the value chain:

  • Initiation and support of Industry Collaborations
  • Assist the securing of IP rights
  • Support the commercialization of patents, research material and know-how (in collaboration with Ascenion GmbH, München)
  • Assessment and negotiation of agreements for research activities (review and negotiation of MTAs, evaluation of collaboration agreements, in particular terms of IP regulations and use rights)
  • Review and negotiation of Confidentiality Agreements (CDA)

As a publicly funded research institute, DZNE is always looking for strong industrial collaboration partners for all four areas of research:

Collaborations with industry and other partners in the health economy are of particular interest for DZNE. Such collaborations open avenues for technology transfer and translation of scientific research results into practical applications and they provide the necessary exchange between the innovators and the parties acting in the market. Due to the DZNE being a publicly funded research organization, collaborations follow the rules of our funding bodies. The essential conditions for collaborating with the DZNE as a partner from industry and health economy are summarized in our guidelines.
