Dr. Della David
Curriculum Vitae
Della David studied molecular and cellular biology at the Ecole Superieure de Biotechnologie de Strasbourg in France. For her doctoral studies, she joined in 2001 the laboratory of Professor Jürgen Götz at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. Using proteomics, she investigated the pathological consequences of disease protein aggregation in a mouse model for Alzheimer’s disease tau pathology. For her postdoctoral studies (2006-2011), she moved to Professor Cynthia Kenyon’s laboratory at the University of California, San Francisco, USA. There, she investigated the extent of protein aggregation caused by the normal aging process in the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans.
In September 2011, she started as group leader at the DZNE in Tuebingen.
