Curriculum Vitae

Alexander Storch is deputy hospital director and senior physician of the department of neurology at the Klinikum Car Gustav Carus in Dresden. He received his PhD in 1996 and worked as research scientist and had his residency training in neurology at the Department for Neurology and Psychiatry at the University of Ulm till 2001.

In 1998 he conducted research as a Research Scientist at the Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, at the Departments of Pharmacology and Neurological Sciences. From 2001 to 2004 he was senior physician in the Department of Neurology and as head of surgery for movement disorders at the University of Ulm. Alexander Storch habilitated in 2011 in neurology at the University of Ulm. Since 2004 he is C3-Professor of neurodegenerative diseases at the Medical Faculty Carl Gustac Carus at the University of Dresden and senior physician at the Department of Neurology, Medical Faculty Carl Gustav Carus at the University of Dresden.

Since 2006 he is speaker for the research area “Neurodegenerative Diseases” and member of the board of the DFG Research center “Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden” (CRTD), member of the Dresden International Graduate Scholl for Biomedicine and Biotechnology (DIGS-BB) and a member of the editorial bord of “Stem Cells” and “Open Biotechnology Journal”.
