Ursula Weyrich
Mrs. Ursula Weyrich was appointed Administrative Director of DZNE and member of the Executive Board in April 2009.  Before, Mrs. Weyrich had held various posts in the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research. As Head of Division Mrs. Weyrich was responsible for the Helmholtz research centres Karlsruhe and Jülich, the development of the Institute for Technology in Karlsruhe (KIT), the Institute of plasma physics (IPP) and nuclear research. Starting by end of 2002, she was executive assistant to the Secretary of State at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and before she supported the merge of the Gesellschaft für Mathematik und Datenverarbeitung (Society for Mathematics and Data Processing) with the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Before working at the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research, she worked as a lawyer and graduate in Public Management with a major focus on labour law, company law and tax law. She studied in Wiesbaden, Mainz and Clermont-Ferrand (France) and passed the final bar examination in 1998. Ursula Weyrich is married and has two children.
